The Institute was founded in 2010 on the basis of the ASTU Building Department established in 1959.
Institute of Construction and Architecture:

- Department of Engineering Geology, Bases and Foundations;
- Department of Engineering Constructions and Architecture;
- Department of Mathematics;
- Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Vocational Training;
- Department of Construction Operations;
- Department of Structural Mechanics and Strength of Materials;
- Department of Chemistry and Ecology in Construction;
- Research-Educational Center “Nanostructures in the Materials and Components Science”;

Currently, the Institute trains specialists in the following specialties (qualification engineer):

270114.65 “Building Design”;
270102.65, “Industrial and Civil Construction”;
050501.65 “Professional Training (construction, installation and repair technologies)”;
270115.65 “Examination and Management of the Real Estate”.
Also,bachelor program 270100.62 “Construction” is opened at the Institute.
The Institute’s graduates can continue their education within master's program 270100.68.01 “Theory and Design of Buildings and Structures”.
