Marina KalininaDevelopment of international cooperation is one of the priorities of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University.

Modern education and research require daily cooperation of universities and research centers not only within one country but all over the world. Scientific and educational environment of the XXI century has an international and global scale. New scientific achievements and discoveries require cross-border discussions and systematic exchange of experience.

Today NArFU develops partnership with many universities around the world. Arctic Focus of NArFU determines our close ties with universities in Norway, Finland, Sweden, Canada and the USA. Today students from Latin America, Africa, Asia, CIS and Baltic countries go into higher education at the Northern (Arctic) Federal University.

International structure of NArFU includes the Department of International Cooperation, International Education Centre and the Centre of Foreign Languages “Lingua”.

The Department of International Cooperation promotes partnership with universities, nonprofit institutions, business structures and public agencies all over the world. Cooperation agreements, student exchange programs, educational and research collaboration, cooperation within the network “University of the Arctic”, fundraising – this is non-completed list of the Department activities.

International Education Centre engages in activities connected to the attracting of international students to study at NArFU by creating comfortable conditions for their living and learning.

On the basis of the International Education Centre functionates Preparatory Department, where international students learn Russian language and other subjects necessary for the admission to NArFU. Upon completion of preparatory department courses and successful passing the exams international students are enrolled at the university.

Centre of Foreign Languages “Lingua” offers the wide range of students to attend foreign language courses. Here you can learn or significantly improve your English, Norwegian, German and other languages.

We are looking for new friends and partners from every corner of the world!
