NArFU is North-West Russia’s major educational institution established by RF Presidential Edict of 21 October 2009. In October 2010, the University’s 2020 Development Program was approved by the Government Executive Order.

Offering 183 higher education, 32 intermediate and 54 initial vocational education programs, NArFU currently has

  • over 23 thousand students;
  • 330 PhD students;
  • 3100 course participants;
  • 1300 lecturers.

NArFU is a member of Russia’s Leading Universities Association, which comprises two national, nine federal and 29 national research universities.

NArFU incorporates seventeen institutes, each with long-standing traditions in many research fields:
